Institutional Certificates

Institutional certificates are required for IGVF labs generating data from controlled access human samples, or mapping data from human samples. The institutional certificates are tracked on the IGVF portal and associated with the samples covered by the certificate.

The general procedure for registering an institutional certificate on the IGVF portal is as follows.

  1. Work with your local IRB and a NHGRI program administrator to complete the institutional certificate form.
  2. Send the completed form to the WashU DACC.
  3. Send a list of samples accessions covered by the certificate to the Stanford DACC.
  4. The WashU DACC will add the certificate to the tracking spreadsheet.
  5. The Stanford DACC will create a record of the certificate to the IGVF portal.

Please refer to the IGVF wiki page for further details.
